Our staff encourages the development of a Christian character and exemplifies the true meaning of a faith based center by providing the children with lesson plans and daily activities that reflect our God driven message. Our primary focus is to provide our children with faith based learning inside and outside the classroom.

Alysa K. Johnson

Director

Alysa comes to Little Sheep Learning Center with 10 years of experience working in a childcare facility.  She has been a Campus Principal/Director since 2006 and also led the HR and Recruiting efforts.  In her previous role, she was managing an operation of over 20 teachers and 200 children.  Her qualifications and experience are a true asset for our school! Alysa has a BA from the University of Texas in Sociology with a minor in Business Administration. She has a passion for the training and education of teachers, as well as the children, and brings an authentic understanding of the learning and development of the preschool age child. Alysa has 4 children – Fallon, Easton, Audrey and Mikah.  All have attended preschool since they were infants, so she knows and understands the emotional connection and communication the parents deserve. Alysa is native to Bastrop and is dedicated to use her experience to better our LSLC environment in her hometown.

Cation comes to LSLC with over 15 years of childcare experience. She has lived in Red Rock her entire life and loves living out in the country. She and her husband of almost 20 years live on 100 acres with their dog named Sadie. While she loves nature and long walks, she loves working with children even more. We are happy to have Cation and her out of the box thinking and we look forward to all that the children will learn through her. Mrs. Cation is a wonderful asset to the LSLC team.

Candace has lived in Smithville for the past 18 years. She has three wonderful children. She came to Little Sheep with 4 years of experience. She has currently worked here for years now, in many classrooms. She is currently the Young 3’s teacher as well as our curriculum coordinator. She has completed her Child development Associates Credential and plans to continue her education in Early Child Development. She is a dependable, nurturing teacher who always has a smile on her face. She is an amazing and dedicated teacher and we are grateful to have her here at LSLC!

Krystal Murphy

I have worked at Little Sheep since November 2021. She works in Infants 1 classroom. Krystal began working with children at a young age by baby sitting. Even then she enjoyed watching them grow and learn new things.

She is currently in the infant 2 classroom. Sierra has lived in Bastrop most of her life and is the oldest in a family of seven. Sierra is the mother of a young daughter that attends LSLC. As a mother she understands the trust a parent gives to allow her to care for their children. Sierra has worked in other child care centers and as a private nanny for close to 3 years.
Sierra is currently attending school studying child psychology with a possible future career teaching English and Literature in a public school.

I began in a Montessori school in 2009 for about 3 years. After that I worked for “wee care” for another three years. And then I joined Little Sheep for almost 5 years. I took a year and a half off. I went back to work for another year at TNT academy in a Spanish program for 1st and 2nd grade and also the 3’s and 4’s. I returned to Little Sheep in August of 2022, as the pre k 1 classroom teacher. When I am not at work I love shopping, cleaning, and organizing. And of course spending time with my husband and my children.

Noelia has been working with children for over four years. This will be her second year with LSLC. She enjoys watching her students grow throughout the year and see them experience new things. She plans to grow her education in early childhood education. Noelia lives in Elgin with her husband and their two daughters, she enjoys reading and traveling during her free time.

Ciana comes to LSLC with over 15 years of childcare experience. She is the mother of two, her son who attends LSLC and infant daughter. Both absolutely love coming to school. She also has two fur babies that she loves. She enjoys working with children and enjoys watching their progress and growth. Mrs. Ciana is fun, energetic and a valuable member of the LSLC family.

Brittanie started working at Little Sheep since November 2021. Brittanie loves watching the children grow and develop new skills each day. Brittanie works in the infants 1 classroom and is excited to spend the day with each of them and watching them develop in to fantastic humans.

I have been working with young children off and on my whole life. I feel I have a passion for this work, watching child learn, grow, and connect with the peers. When I am not at work you will find me spending time with my family. I have two children that also attend Little Sheep, one is in prekindergarten and the other is in infants.

I’m Elaina DeLeon. I started working at Little Sheep Learning Center two years ago. I have a loving boyfriend at home and two dogs. When I am not working I enjoy drawing and outdoor activities with my family.  

My goal is to get my bachelor’s degree and become a private school teacher here at Good Shepherd Lutheran School. I am currently working in Pre K3.

I have been with LSLC for a little over 5 months. Overall, I have over 4 years of experience in the early childcare field. I graduated from Bastrop High School in 2019 and am currently pursuing a degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I am also currently engaged with no children. Lastly, my hobbies include reading, personal development, as well as baking!
